NIKOLA TESLA'S INVENTIONS

Who: Peter Richards, Glenn Baddeley and Sergio Bughi are founding members of the Australian Nikola Tesla Society (A.N.T.S.) and have been greatly interested in his work for many years. They will take you on a journey back to before the turn of the century, to see the inventive genius that Nikola Tesla was, and the kind of visionary work he produced. You will also be shown how his inventions are currently been used today in a wide variety of scientific and domestic applications.

What:

• Peter will present information on the fundemental evolution and development of electric motors from historical DC to the latest Hybrid 3HP AC Rare Earth Magnet Motors. Also, recent applications of Tesla's mechanical oscillator (yes, the "Tesla Earthquake Machine" that nearly wrecked New York City), currently used by Linear Energy Corporation Pty. Ltd. and their AC R.A.P.S. (Remote Area Power Supply) system. He will demonstrate DC, AC and 2 Rare Earth Magnet Motors, so that everyone can understand the basic principles at work in some of Tesla's patents.

• Glenn will present excerpts from a selection of videos related to Tesla's work and will hold an open discussion after each excerpt.

• Sergio will present information on some of Tesla's High Voltage work, Radiant Energy Receivers, and early work on radio.
