Renewable Energy Systems

Who:

Steve Johnson, is a long term member and currently, the an Electronics Engineer, and holder of the Advanced Certificate in Renewable Energy Technology, is the owner of Energy Stream Pty. Ltd. Over the past six years, he has installed and configured a wide variety of combined renewable energy systems for; Parks Victoria, Melbourne Water, Moreland Council, and Eastern Energy, amongst others.

What: His presentation, on the night, will focus on;

• A brief look at what is available today in Solar Panels, Wind Generators, and Micro Hydro systems.
• The variety of systems, their application, and implementation.
• Environmental considerations for future home designs.
• Environmental benefits of using this technology.
• What the future holds for alternative energy systems.

As part of the presentation, Steve will also be demonstrating a complete portable solar power station.

Steve believes that this is a young new industry with the potential of `doing good' for the planet while having a positive influence on society. It empowers the individual by giving back a sense of independence, and freedom of choice.
