Introduction to Bio-Dynamic Agriculture
Who:
Ian Cuming
, has 20 years experience as a practitioner of Bio-Dynamic Farming and teaches Bio-Dynamic Agriculture techniques at the Melbourne Rudolf Steiner School.Rudolf Steiner once said; "One comes to see that in nature, cosmic factors have to be taken into consideration, and that spirit is the original creator of matter, penetrating into its essential being and all its activities. Our plants and animals come to be seen as organisms manifesting themselves in their own right, not subject merely to chemical and physical laws, but also to all the unseen forces and influences streaming out from the earth and in from the universe".
What: Some key points to be covered on the night;
- Community-supported agriculture.
- Other social initiatives.
It can be argued that our current agricultural techniques leave a lot to be desired, thus threatening our food supply. Bio-Dynamic agriculture and the thinking behind it, is offering a viable alternative.
