Exploring the Invisible Cosmos -'Adventures in Radio Astronomy'

Who: Dr. Malcolm Wilkinson

Malcolm is an Amateur Radio Astronomer, with a background in Engineering, Physics, and Biology. He is a recipient of the Serenice Page Medal for his work on Jupiter, and is a member of the Astronomical Society of Australia. He was also involved with the voyager spacecraft mission to the outer planets.

Radio Astronomy is the study of celestial bodies by means of the radio waves that they emit and absorb naturally. Radio telescopes in all their shapes and forms have been an invaluable tool in helping man to discover the nature and shape of the Milky Way and other galaxies.

The presentation will focus on;
