Building Biology

Who: Marianne Baker

Marianne, is a practicing Building Biologist whose primary concern is helping people to improve their health by creating healthier living environments. She holds a Diploma in Building Biology as well as qualifications in Naturopathy, Herbal Medicine and Nutrition, and lectures at the Australian College of Environmental Studies.

People spend up to 90% of their time indoors. As unhealthy indoor environments may result in ill-health of building occupants, it is important to be aware of both the major indooor factors affecting health and the steps that can be taken to create healthier living environments.

The presentation will focus on;

• Brief Description of Sick Building Syndrome and the Role of th Building Biologist.
• Geomantic Assessment - a Vital First Step in Creating a Healthy Living Environment.
• Minimising Exposure to Electromagnetic Fields and Radio Frequencies.
• Improving Indoor Air Quality with Safer Building Materials and Household Products.
• Avoid Mould - An Important, Often Overlooked Cause of Illness.
• The Importance of Pre-Purchase/Pre-Lease Inspections
