The Winter Solstice and the Lunar Self

Michelle has 10 years experience with Astrology, Tarot, Energy Healing, and Spiritual Development. She is a member of the FAA, APA, AHHA and holds both a Diploma in Applied Astrology (Astro*Synthesis) and a Certificate in Tarot Studies (Institute of Esoteric Studies).

When the Mayans conceived the end date, they were looking through Northern Hemisphere eyes. The Northern Hemisphere Winter Solstice in December 2012 marks the Mayan end-date and at that time, there will be a Solstice axis and Galactic Centre alignment. As we approach this date, Solstices become more meaningful especially Winter Solstices where the Lunar experience is prominent, however, our contemporary Western lifestyle is very Solar, (masculine) focused and, interestingly, popular Astrology shows this through the preoccupation with the Sun sign columns. Perhaps more of a Lunar (feminine) focus could help us better understand what our Moon signs reveal about us and how to better cope with the changes predicted by the Mayans.

The presentation will focus on;

• A Discussion of the Astronomy of the Galactic Centre Aligning with the Solstice Axis and Why the Mayans Associated this with the 2012 End-Times.
• An Exploration of the Role of the Sun and Moon Archetypes not only in Astrology but also in Mythology.
• A Focus on the Depth of Meaning of the Moon Archetype and How Important this is to the Birth Chart.
• Examples from Clients' Charts of How Embracing their Moon Archetype Helped them through their own Personal 'End-Times' and into New Life Experiences.
• Descriptions of the Meanings of the Different Moon Signs (i.e. the Moon in a particular Zodiac Sign in a Birth Chart).
